Offering a delightful place to dine in peaceful suburban surroundings, Willerby's Zaffran restaurant is already proving a hit with lovers of Indian cuisine.
A recently opened restaurant, Zaffran is based in the same Kingston Road building that once housed the popular Saffron restaurant, and all the signs are that it will be just as well - loved as its predecessor.
And owned by Salik Tarafdar - a restaurateur that has been running fine eateries in East Yorkshire for more than 30 years - history suggests Zaffran will be a huge success.
'Business has been strong so far and we are now looking to build up a reputation as a place that people will want to visit,' said Salik's son Ash, the general manager of the restaurant.
'Despite the similarity in our name to Saffron, we are a completely new business and a totally separate restaurant.'
Using traditional recipes - some of them handed down through the family for generations - the team at Zaffran pride themselves on the menu and quality of food.
You'll find all of the dishes you would usually associate with an Indian restaurant, plus a wide selection of dishes you may be trying for the first time.
The chef's specials are a particularly good place to start looking for some culinary inspiration, featuring all kinds of delights that are sure to tickle your tastebuds.
Zaffran offers fantastic value for money, too, with a four - course meal one of the best options.

Served Sunday to Thursday - the restaurant is only open during the evening - diners can enjoy a poppadom and pickle tray, starter, main course and tea or coffee for just �9.95 per person.
There are no gimmicks and no buffets at Zaffran - just freshly made food combined into an extensive menu that is served throughout the week.
The chefs use only the finest spices and produce, with a selection of meat and good seafood providing many of the options on the menu, although there is a good vegetarian section, too.

As for the interior, it is a subtle blend of cultures that is sure to delight each and every visitor.,br>
'We've done our best to keep the interior traditionally Indian, but with a modern twist,' says Ash.
'We've stayed clear of the really modern touches and lighting, but we think it's still a really pleasant experience when you dine at Zaffran.'
The proof has been in the pudding so far, with the restaurant seeing strong numbers of customers through its doors since it opened.
There's been a real mix of customers, too, with everybody from large families dining out together to couples sharing a more intimate meal.
There is also a takeaway service available, which enjoys a separate menu of its own. The dishes are largely the same as those on offer in the restaurant, but with reduced prices.
A three - course takeaway menu is also available from Sunday to Thursday priced at �8.95 per person.
